I'm going to assume you plan to register your cattery name (and show) with CFA. Of course, choosing a cattery name is a very big decision for every cat fancier. It's an exciting time but for some, is also a daunting task. Personally, I had no problem choosing my cattery name (Whispurrpaws) which was registered back in 2000. Although that was over ten years ago, I vividly remember how excited I was when my cattery name certificate arrived in the mail. :D

Anyway, here's a link that I hope will be of help to you.

http://www.showcatsonline.com/x/choosing_a_cattery_name.shtml

I wish you the very best in choosing the perfect cattery name... please let us know what you decide on.

Or, if you need a few suggestions, tell us a little bit about yourself and your new show kitty. Perhaps this will help us come up with some cattery name suggestions for you. :)

Tracy is absolutely correct, we do come up with good kitten names so I bet we can help on the cattery name. Maybe take this discussion over to the general cat discussion board so that more people see it too.

First of all, I am an single parent of an ADHD/Apraxia kid :)and my family had always raised/showed cats (mostly grandparents) so I've been around a few different type of breeds (like Persian-Himalayans, Siamese and even the Devons) :)My show kitty is a Golden and I have decided to work mostly with Silver/Golden but also have Bi-colors here and there. Because I love both colors div and can't just stick with one, unfortunately! I love different colors and would like for the cattery name to "stand" out to show I breed different colors but also would like it to mean something also... Maybe my lil man's name in there somewhere?

BeyondPurrs
PurrUpNColor (I really like this because my lil man and I always laugh when we say "Hush UP & Color" after the country song of "Shut Up And Drive" but I guess it doesn't fit well for a cattery name, what do you all think?)
BratAPurrs (All the kitties are spoiled and so is my lil man! LOL)

That's what I've came up with so far... So what do you all think? Honest opinon! :)

Tracy, I love your Bi-color points!!! They are my "second" favorite color but when I decided to breed the Bi-colors, I could not find the "right" bi-color point baby because all I could find were the longer nose dollfaces!

Hi there! I am new to the site as well but thought I would offer a greeting, as well as weigh in on the "name game." For no particular reason whatsoever, Im thinking "Blue Willow Cattery." I guess the thought being that if you look into a ponds surface, you are found to see multiple colors in the reflection..

Anyway, Im Sean and my persian kids name is
Sassifras, aka. Sassy, or Sax.

Thank you!! :flower::)Bi-colors, Calicos, and Bi-color Himalayans (Bi-color Points) have always been my first love, including these patterns in chocolate and lilac. And now that I am beginning to get Vans, I'm loving them just as much!! :heart:I've been working on bi-color points for a few years now but have only had a handful so far. My very first was born November 3, 2004... my tortie point & white chocolate carrier girl named Whispurrpaws Ooh-La-La! La-La's son Dex (Whispurrpaws Shaken Not Stirred) is pictured in my signature photo and also as a kitten in my avatar photo. He is a seal point van and carries chocolate as his dad is Martini, my chocolate bi-color Persian.

As for cattery names, how about something with the word jewel in it? Afterall, Persians are the "jewels" of the cat world and jewels do come in many different colors. ;)What about Jewelpaws, Jewelpurrs or Jewelfurs? :?:I was also going to suggest Jewelry Box or Jewel Box but it seems those have been taken.

Now is your Silver/Golden program separate from your Bi-Color program or are they integrated? Just curious. :)
