And if the shock is too much, I'll take him, cause he's such the cutey!!! :D

I actually had a similar thing happen. I adopted a cat from a humane society. The cat came with some vet records that called the Carmen, spayed female. Only thing was the "spayed female" kept trying to hump other cats and had a little pink thingy!!! We still love Clancy (aka Carmen) and my vet keeps laughing about how other vets could have blown this so many times. (BTW, Carmen was microchipped so it's not just a case of wrong paperwork for the cat.)

You love this kitty :paw:Would you want to part with him know because "she" is a he? You could do what my friend in New Orleans did when she found out her boy was a girl --- not a darn thing. ;)She had named him Max and her sweet little girl is still Max - 12 years later.

Yes I was hysterical last night. I was so in shock. I considered selling her for 2 seconds and I know there is no way I could. My kids and I love him dearly. Every morning when I clean "her" face I say "good girl" lol. What a habbit to break. I think I may just call him Mr. Duchess. I can't just stop calling him duchess. I may even continue calling him a she. lol.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one this has happened to. He really is such a loveable kitty too.

BTW I was spelling it Dutchess but I guess that's not the right spelling. It's actualy Duchess. lol. I can't spell! :D

I was thinking the same thing as Pat... simply shorten his name to Dutch. ;)

Boy or girl, the kitty will be a wonderful addition to your family. :)

You'll love s/he, no matter what. I say go with Dutch, it's unique
and will eventually make a good story.
