 Some of your posts really crack me up!!!

This is the, um, 3rd time this has happened - And shes only been living with us for 12 days, but by far the worse! Darla even made a stinky face when she smelled the poo all over the floor - either that or she was happy and ate it? ewww - I have caught her eating cat poop outside - guess she's trying to "clean up" after them? haha

We figure her litter box is too small for her and the lid is making it difficult for her to get in and out SO Davin is going to the store today to pick up either a GIANT box or making one from a storage box - NO LID and perhaps NEW LITTER. She doesn't seem to be covering her droppings, however, she is trying. I hear her "digging" on the sides of the walls, but hasn't gotten the concept of actually digging up the litter onto her poops. We have a "special" kitty! :D

Oh, and to tell you the truth, NO one knows Persia's real age, as a lady never tells! But the vet suspects she is closer to 6. I think she is probably younger, maybe 4? But we decided to call her 5.

After about 1 hour by herself in "alone time - I'm mad at my humans" - she decided to come to bed and cuddle up between us, while purring (not bringing poop to bed) haha.

In my experience vets can be pretty off on the pets age. She could be much younger than 6.

As for the scratching on the sides of the pan and not covering stuff, it happens to Nannerpuss also and she is 3. Sometimes I worry about her. lol

I'm guessing she's a baby (1-2 years). THey're probably guessing by the condition of her teeth, but if she wasn't well taken care of her teeth could be bad at a young age.

Chunk scratches the floor outside the box. It makes zero sense to me... but hey, if it works for Persia, more power to her.

It's weird that she's eating poop... maybe ask the vet about that. I don't have any advice...

She will learn to not step in her poop. May I ask what kind of litter you are using?

It's her canine sister that is eating the poop....doggies do that! I had to put the litter box on top of the dryer so our dog didn't get in it. LOL

Ohh.. ok. Well that makes more sense  Yeah, get a big tupperware and cut a hole in the top, Darla won't be able to get in, but Persia can hop in and out of the hole.

I can't resist joining in any discussion of poops. Aside from the pre-diagnostic days when you could smell Bogart a few rooms away, I don't have much of a problem with messy bottoms. Occasionally one of Humphrey's will not drop and he jumps about and howls until it falls off or I pluck it off. The advantage of a raw diet is that the poops are so firm there is no collateral damage -- and NO SMELL. I used to call Humphrey's poops his boomers because they were a bit stinky until the litter absorbed the smell. Now no smells. Covering up is a random thing hereabouts.

My boys are probably not pure Persians and I think that makes them easier to live with, poopypants-wise.
