Hey Paula, how goes the chlamydia situation with Michelangelo and Donatello? Are your other cats doing okay as in, not getting it?

God, I hope not. I have been treating Donatello, he is showing no signs. His only sign was that his eyes swelled up. So we are treating him as though.

Michelangleo, I have been wondering if it is back. I am almost no longer able to tell if his eye discharge is normal or not. I clean his eyes every morning and tissue him throughout the day. It is clear and brownish. I see that as a huge improvement from when he was first diagnosed.

Although I have no mo money this post Christmas season. I am tempted to have both boys tested to see if there is any Chlamydia evident, just to be sure the treatments of doxycycline has done it's job. Other than the weepy eyes and discharge, the only other symptom was lethargy and depression almost.

Thanks for asking my dear. I am hoping this is all but a past bad memory.
Cinderella won't get any where close to Michelangelo to catch it and the 100 year old Siamese, well she just sleeps in the closet. hahaha

Thanks for asking my dear,
hugs
Paula

Well, it's nice when dealing with contagious things when cats don't hang out together. Cinderella may now feel very vindicated not to have anything to do with that new kitty.

Tears are usually clear. It turns brownish because of a red yeast that lives on the moist hairs. So, is what you seeing tears or actual eye discharge? Can you see stuff (technical term!) on his eyes? Maggie's mucous is visible on her eye, but Spencer's tears, which stain his fur brown, are not.

I hope eveything is fine and only a bad memory! Give them all a hug from me!!! And one to you to!!!
