Dude, my baby persian, is sick. Yesterday he was full of himself. then last night he threw up, and he hasn't moved from one spot. He just won't move. He won't eat, drink or go to litter box. It is Thanksgiving and nothing is open, so I really need advise!!

How old is Dude? Has he recently received any vaccinations? Sometimes vaccinations can cause kittens to act pretty lethargic for a day or so. How many times has your little guy thrown up? Just to let you know, vomiting can cause dehydration and he can go down hill pretty quickly. Are there any emergency clinics in your area that can take a look at him?

I was going to ask the same question. Did he recently have his immunizations? Our kitten was acting the very same way. I was able to take him to the vet and he gave him a shot that counteracted the effects of the immunizations.
Some vetrinary clinics have emergency call numbers.
Let us know how he is doing.

Dale, I answerred your post in the intro section - glad to see that you posted here as well. If you bought your kitten from a breeder in your area, she might know if an emergency clinic if you don't. Or call a close vets office (if you don't have a regular vet yet) and see if they have emergency info on their recording - lots of them will. The important thing here is to get Dude to a professional. :flower:

If he hasn't had vaccinations in the last week, is it possible he ate something he shouldn't have? Something like string, shoe laces, tinsel, etc. This might be causing a blockage and some pain, which is why he doesn't want to move or eat. Only things I can suggest is a heating pad to keep him warm and maybe try to get some liquids in him (pedialyte is best, use a spoon to dribble a bit into the corner of his mouth).

As others suggested, you need to call a vet and see about after-hour emergency procedures (many have a recorded message) or find an emergency vet clinic.

I sent a PM to Dale yesterday asking the same thing, but I haven't heard anything. I sure hope Dude is okay! :flower:
