Sorry to bother you again guys, but somethin just ain't right. oh she's eating and drinking and playing a little, but she is like...drunk, dizzy, weakness in the back legs, can't keep her balance. i mentioned when i first got her she seemed a little wobbly. It has been pretty pronounced since I got home from work tonight.

Is this a go back to the vet thing cause I'm pretty worried.

I tried to get some video, and of course you can hardly tell. watch her back end. she falls over when she jumps down from the couch. bah, I'm not explaining it right.

Dan I am so sorry .... seems like you have
one thing after the other.

It almiost sounds neurological() to me???

I am not an expert or experienced, bit I would contact
her breeder see what she says?

And I might try anothervet? I still can't believe your
vet did not find the mites??? I am not forgiving when
it comes to AngelPuss... sigh

let us know ... prayers

Yes I do see it...and I would take her back to the vet but if they write it off as nothing again I would be heading to a different vet for a second opinion. There is something going on there.

Yes, Dan, I agree. I think she needs to be seen again; maybe is there a way that you could play this video for the vet? I wonder if it's not something in her ears, that makes her off balance. I'm sorry you're having to go thru this w/ the little sweetie. :(

The moment you mentioned weakness in the back legs I think of kidney problems. But she had blood work, right? And the BUN and creatinine levels were okay? All blood work fine???

Judy's right, it could be neurological, but that would be either very expensive to test for or impossible.

It could also be just her. She had that crooked face, which may or may not be the extent of the problem. The crooked face could effect her vision (I still don't think her pupils are positioned right) and thus balance. Add some extra weight from more food and weight gain, and she might be going through an awkward phase. Maggie did the fall down at first when she was gaining weight and after her one eye was removed because of balance issues. So, it could be nothing.

Have you contacted the breeder? She might be able to tell you if Angelpuss has always done this or if it's new.

Sorry.... to jump in again, but Dan, didn't you say you wondered if she had vision in both eyes?

She was snoozing with that big right eye partially open so I tested and she can see. oh according to the breeder she is a normal cat. Well it was almost like a fit when I first noticed. she was sitting and doing a funny head sway/bob and her eyes were darting side to side she tried to stand up and her back end sorta flopped over. She's extremely unbalanced tonight. Tomorrow is her 1 week on Clavamox and I would think and inner ear infection would be cleared up.

Well i guess we will try and get her seen tomorrow. Almost bedtime so we will see what the morning brings.

Hello Dan,
Nelson had an inner ear infection last year. he was fine on monday and when he woke up on tuesday, his hind legs were paralyzed. He couldn't focus either, his right eye was rolling around like crazy.
When I took him to the vet I was afraid I'd come home alone, with an empty cage...
But my vet told me about the symptons and this is wat Nelson had : Geriatric vestibular syndrome.
I know your little one is very young but it is maybe because she has the ear infection that she can't focus right and wobbles on her little feet.
And, sorry to say, but I agree with our friends here : your vet should really have diagnosed Angel Puss had ear mites. Maybe it's better you look for another vet
Give the little one some kissies from us.....and Big Sis too of course
