Little Angelpus is turnin out to be an Isis, greek goddess of strength, no matter what is put on her plate she does her best to over come it. I could see the weakness in her back legs. I am not a doctor nor professional, but I see it more as a weakness than dizzy or balance issue, She is so young yet, she may just grow stronger . She is so lucky to have you , someone who loves her so much, and who could not love this sweet beautiful little girl.... sending her hugs... :paw:

It certainly could be an inner ear infection or upset and i do hope that is all it is vs. anything neurological. I mean Winston falls over all the time and is wobbly but he's 15 and with chronic renal failure and other "stuff" tho my kitten (his sister that lasted 6 mo) that had neuro probs and the weird gait stuff (falling over and then ending up resting in litter box with all fours spread out) wow.. that was dramatic. I don't want to frighten you Dan cuz I hope to God that Angel has something that can be diagnosed and cleaned up so to speak. I am just in love with her little face and every photo you put up.

Please keep us posted. She's just a beautiful kitten and a complete lovebug on top of that

Just and update. In the morning or when I get home from work I have no idea what I will find. Last night was not a good night. She was hiding in my room and sitting on my modem (it's warm). She looked miserable and had that right eye closed. We snugged on the couch most of the evening but she didn't want to eat or drink.

She finally went and got a snack at 4 am, and ate twice since then. she is still unsteady on her feet but it was looking better this morning, eating, and the eye was open.

and stoopid me left the Clavamox out again last night. It was the new bottle and the stuff is supposed to be refridgerated. I called the vet office this am and they said as long as it is not discoloured, it should still be fine.

Angelpuss is a real little trooper.

Ugh. Kittens are hard. I'm so sorry you're going through this. It is so incredibly stressful. I have left Clavamox out before. As long as it isn't too long, it's ok. Her eye is closing because her head and ear hurt, I'm willing to bet. Puffy would close her eyes when her head hurt from her Glaucoma.

Hugs to you.

yeah.. kittens are like kids.. esp. Persian kittens. So unbelievably adorable and cute and often with a lot of Vet visits the first x amt. of years. At least that has been my experience! AngelPuss ~ bet you can't wait to get home to her and Smush everyday!!

4/20/12 Angel is eating well and active. Still plenty of head tilt and wobble, but I think less than 2 days ago. Still not jumping on stuff yet. I will try and upload some video tomorrow. Today she had a soft poo and stepped in it with a front paw due to her unsteadiness. Well there was schtuff all over the plastic pan liner and wall and little kitty poo prints on the carpet. So we got her cleaned up, changed the liner 'n stuff. Glad poo is water soluble.

Smush seems to be either having a minor URI relaps or still under the effects. Seems more like a head cold with some minor eye good, snotty nose, sneezing and ear scratching. not sure if she should go back to the vet or not. I would separate them, but she has already sneezed on the little one, on the food dishes, on the water fountain, etc. If her ears still seem to be bothering her, I will get her an earmite retest as well.

Thanks for the continued well wishes. Keeping paws crossed that Angel is finally on the mend.

Okay, I would take them both together to the new vet!!!!! I just would. Smush should have kicked the URI in hte butt by now... and it seems they are just passing it back and forth... sigh

I would also like a second opinion on AngelPuss!!!!

sorry.... sigh back under my rock

I also vote for a new vet.

To me it sounds like Smushie should be seen again if sneezing is more than occasional and there's eye and nose stuff and not decreasing or changing color.

When I treated my cats for ear mites they got better ASAP. I'm still concerned about AngelPuss re head tilt, head shakes or tremors (if you mentioned that) and the unsteadiness. Usually 3 days out you see improvements re a/b's and by 7 days there should be marked improvement or at least in cat's medical histories it's been this way. I'm thinking of Angel everyday and hoping she's on her way to a true recovery. to both Smushie and AngelPuss

Unless Smushie got over it and then Angelpuss gave it back to her. So much fun passing colds around in a multi-cat household.
