Hey all, firstly I want to apologise for not being around too much lately. I have started the new chemo which hasn't been too bad but leaves me tired and now feeling too chatty. I get very tired after 6 and I try to go out during the day for a walk/ fresh air. I usually go on my computer at night an by this time I am pooped and just watch movies etc. I done another vintage fair about 10 days ago and it left me with a cold, not the best idea I have ever had.
Stevie helped me at the fair and went out for some air now and again and took piccys of this cool stray tabbie, he also was stroking it.

Well this leads on to me noticing a small red patch on Stevies tummy 2 days ago, it popped up over night. I sent him to the doctor and it is ringworm. He got cream and had it covered with a huge plaster, today the ring looks very faded. I had a complete freak out, he got it from the stray cat, of that I am sure. On top of that Hermione had poo explosions, all over the living room. So I took her to the vet also explained the ringworm thing. He checked Hermione and said she didn't have ringworm and to keep an eye on the rest of the gang. He said not to stress no need to treat them if there is no sign. I see no sign on any of the cats and pray nothing will crop up. I have cleaned my house from top to bottom with bleach first then this pet friendly antibacterial spray for pet store. I have boiled washed a mountain of clothing/ towels. The cats are kept in the living room and poor little Hermione is in the top bathroom until her poop clears up, we got meds for that. I bought her a little ginger bread house because she always sleeps in the middle of the room and I figured I would put the house there, she can't use it yet, bless.

On top of all this frantic cleaning I start my second cycle of chemo yesterday, I am pooped tonight and poor Stevie is banished to the spare bedroom and banned from touching the cats.
Aunty Lils sent us an AMaZING pressie for the kitties but I will hold off building it until we sort Hermione out.....they are super funny though. Linda has told me to keep Stevies patched covered for over a week after it has gone just to be safe.

Moan moan moan, sorry guys

On a nice note we are going to stay in a restored lighthouses keepers cottage on Monday for my birthday on Tuesday, it looks stunning. :D

Hi Ellen! I'm sorry things haven't been going well :( Good luck on this second round of treatment. Hopefully it won't be too long?

I had a small bit of ringworm before and read all the home treatments..I ended up putting bleach and (I think) garlic oil on it and it did go away...just have to suffocate it.

The lighthouse sounds dreamy! I remember you stayed in one before, is it the same?

Thanks Karen :D it's really nice to see you posting again, I missed you and the gorgeous gang. I shall bleach Stevies tummy if he will let me, have bleached everything else

It was a mini tower that we stayed in before, part of the Irish Landmark Trust...they restore old building and let them out as holiday homes. The lighthouse looks cool, on the edge of a scary cliff. :D

Oh, Ellen. YOu sound just like me! I would have had a freak out as well!

Puffy had ringworm when she came to me, but I didn't know until I got it... I don't know what was worse... the freakout, the cleanup, or my paranoia. It is such an exhausting ordeal.

We are sending hugs to the whole family. I am sorry you are so tired, lady; but glad that you are taking such good care of yourself and the kitties. Poor lady pants Hermione will hopefully be over the poos soon!

We are sending lots and lots of love!!

Oh dear.. I've been thru the ringworm freakouts 3 times.. once with my cats, once with the 5 kittens we brought into our garage in Fl (fortunately I didn't let my 3 P's near the babies and vice versa) and one time with my SIL's son when he was young and she blamed one of my cats that didn't have ringworm for giving him ringworm.

Yeah.. it's a lotta work with all that cleaning!
Hope you're doing Ok Ellen re the chemo and sounds like the Bday plans are just incredible! Wishing you a wonderful Bday and the greatest time! Hope Steve's ringworm sitch clears up soon!
hugs and snugs to all~ Maria and Alaska (and Lola the mini schnau)

Aw, poor Stevie! He can't hug his wife or pet his kitties and he has to sleep alone. :(

I feel sooty for you and hermione too, Ellen, but tell Stevie I'm sending him an extra hug. 8-)

Aww man, I know all about dealing with ringworm  it is exhausting even if you are feeling well, can't imagine you having to deal with it feeling like you do with your treatments.

I make it a rule to never touch other cats, it is hard but you just never know what you might bring home.

Your retreat sounds cool, poor Stevie, hopefully it is a nice dungeon :D
