I've worked with animals forever and my allergies seemed to have went away. Then, in November, I brought home Allegra and my allergies got so bad I was taking antihistamines enough to built a tolerance to them :(When I got her spayed a couple of weeks ago, her belly was shaved and it looked a bit funny so I took her into one of my groomers to see if she could even her fur out a bit but then I decided to have a lion's cut. My other cat Lyric always wears a lion's cut because I think she's cuter that way but Allegra's a persian and I adore the way their fur makes them look like stuffed animals. It absolutely breaks my heart to see her this way ~ she's looks as small as a teacup chihuahua. I have her in a dress because I don't want her to be cold. What do you think?

It looks like she has bi-color eyes in this pic but she doesn't. Both of her eyes are blue:

She is so cute but she looks pitiful here :(

Evelyn, she is precious!! And if it solves the allergy issue, I say invest in a couple more outfits for her.

Thank you for the compliments on my kitty :)I'm getting used to the way she looks even though she kind of resembles Gollum, I think.

Does it help your allergies?
Right now I am eyeballing Michelangelo's long, long fur.
I have an eyeball reaction to him. Hoping that it goes away as it matures. I have 3 other adult cats in the home and none of them has ever bothered me.......so, just wondering of shaving the fur hleped your allergy. I understand it isn't the fur necessarily, but the dander.....

Paula ~ It's helped a lot. I have another cat for 3 years and when I brought her home, my allergies were a bit irritated but I think I built a tolerance to her. Plus, she gets a lion cut every month. When I brought Allegra home, my allergies were worse than anything! I was scratching my eyes, sneezing and blowing my nose so much. I was so miserable. I can still feel slightly itchy on my nose but I've stopped taking benadry and I'm doing tons better. Someone recommended a product called Allergroom to me and I might try that later but I had the lion's cut done because I needed fast relief ~ the 2 months of suffering just wiped me out!

Thank you so much Krysege :)
