Hugs to you and Sparky!!!

Did anything at all change a day or two before she stopped eating? It really is unusual for a cat just to stop without a reason.

Sparky always has a reason when she stops eating, it is just trying to figure out what the reason is. :?This time she did not follow any of her normal patterns so off to the vet we went. Her white cell count was very low, cloudy urine, dehydration and a fever and diarrhea = a cat with a UTI infection. :evil:We don't know if there is any other problem, couldn't find one. Baytril, Metronidazole, appetite stimulant, b-12 shot, fluids and a very tired, stressed mom. Usually when she has a bladder infection it is obvious because she is constantly in the litter box straining with bloody urine and obvious pain. Don't have a clue what is going on this time. I am wondering if the infection is actually in the kidneys this time. Thank goodness my vet did the cystocentesis on the urine or we would not have figured it out. She is not responding the same as usual either and the fuids all went down into her left leg both days, she was walking a little funny, that has never happened before either. Hopefully she will get better quickly, so far she is just not up to snuff yet.

Sending many prayers for Sparky, I hope she is feeling better soon. Can you entice her with some cooked chicken?

She even ignored the chicken, which she loves. Unfortuantely it gives her the runs, as does the tuna I got her to eat. She is eating on the stimulant, not as much as usual but enough. Now she needs to start drinking again and eating without stims.
