I swear I can't make a meal without Chunk checking out what I'm doing at least three or four times. I take him off the counter a million times a day. And then he just hops on back up.

Hmm, THEY say Persians can't jump.

And woe to you if you are eating something they don't like -- "Gee Mom, how can you eat THAT?" and then the big sad pouty face. :(

Well.. he can't jump that high. He runs around the counter as fast as his fat little feet will take him and then hops to the barstool... then from the barstool to the counter... :) sigh... If I am eating tortilla chips, he will get his whole body in the bag. I have literally lost him before and found him sleeping in an open bag of chips. Chips everywhere. He loves the chip bag

Dolly just went off sulking to the sun room...
Even though I gave her at least half of my chicken breast
before preparing it for the BBQ....guess she thought she should
have the whole thing..
But she will be back once it's cooked and we are eating

Dolly has the best life ever. She is such a diva, I love hearing about her. She was clearly starving, Joan. How dare you without chicken from her

Too funny!

Yes, they always think they want some of whatever I'm eating. Then it's like "hmmpf. what are you eating THAT for?"

I was just drinking a grain-based adult beverage (as a couple of my friends like to say) to celebrate my first week of non-working. Of course Smokey thought he wanted some...

Oh don't get me started on this topic! I can't do anything, especially eat, without close (too close) supervision by the herd. This is what I see surrounding my plate when I try to eat anything -

I have it easy then. Since certain kitties have special diets, they get locked in rooms. So, for meals, I only have to deal with -
:cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :o

That last one is hubby.

The Brudders don't care for my food at all. They may stick their nose close to it, but that's enough to convince them its inedible. They only go on the table to be noticed or make a statement. Believe me, they are noticed.

I've tried putting Bogart in a separate room if he must be fasted, but I get h*e*l*l from Humphrey for putting his brudder in the slammer. He'll do his best to break down the door. They eat from each other's dishes. I guess they don't want the other to get a better meal than they got.
