The next 20 days....

are going to be very hard on me.....My baby is deploying and I have to say goodbye to him. All kinds of things running through my mind. This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do....say goodbye to my son and not know if I will ever see him again......sorry for the boo whooing....I am just so sad :cry:

Thanks Kira...just about everything is making me cry. And it does not help that I am a control freak and I can't control this one......

Some small town in Afganistan....he is not allowed to tell us where until he gets there. I do get to go say goodbye to him on deployment day.....I better by a gross of tissues.....I bet I use them. THAT IS MY BABY...GOING TO FIGHT IN A WAR....AND HE IS ARTILLERY.......WOW...WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT. Lilly Taylor will be born about 5 weeks after he leaves.....and without daddy around I am hoping Nana can step in and help out anyway that momma needs me. I think about how hard it is on my....but imagine how hard it is on him and his wife.......I have to say it.....Ricky, momma is just so proud of you. You feel my heart with love and joy. He won't let me call his commanding officer and tell him what kind of foods he likes, and what time he likes to be woke up. And that he likes his chocolate milk real cold. And he like pancakes with Jif Peanut Butter on them. LOL. And that his nickname is Roo Rat!!

I live near 29 Palms Marine Base (I forget the official name) and I know how hard it is on the family left behind. Many of these families are on the 3rd or 4th or 5th deployments.

You and your son will be in my thoughts and prayers. Tell Roo Rat that he has lots of aunties to worry about him!!!

I will let him know. I plan on sending him a package every 2 weeks with some of his specials wants..one of them is soft sheets...military sheets are not very soft. Plus we are going to video tape the birth so that we can send him a copy of it.
