Tommy gets better every day. He still isn't recovered, but he's definitely better today. He drank some water and seems interested in food, but I don't think he can smell it well enough yet, so I am syringe feeding him. I do hope that by tonight he will be recovered enough to start eating again. What a relief that he is better--looking back, I now realize just how seriously ill he was over the weekend. Poor little thing! I did let him out into the house for a while this morning because he insisted. I guess he's bored and has some stored up energy. He made a full tour of all three levels, said hello to his three Persian guardians (Jack, Woolly, and Cyra) and drank some water out of the big cats' bowl. I put him back in his room when I vacuumed because he is petrified of the vacuum and he promptly went to sleep. I can't wait for him to be back to normal! I think I can now say that he will definitely make it through this illness and has only used up one of his nine lives. :)

So glad he is recovering, I hate to think what would've happened to him if he hadn't found his way to you :cat::paw::heart:

Sounds like he is making great progress! It is so nice to hear of the relationships he has already formed with his "brothers and sisters"

It seems that the little guy is parked on the same level of recovery. He drinks but he isn't eating on his own yet. I am syringe feeding him and he's getting mighty sick of it. I finally decided this morning that despite the fact that the vet said not to, I was going to put the vaporizer in his room and put a tad bit of Vick's in it to try to clear his congestion. I am stumped about what else to do except wait and keep feeding him. I have never had a kitten sick for this long--it has been a full week and he's been the same since Tuesday. GRRR.

I'm so sorry to hear he hasn't improved. Poor Tommy! All I can suggest is keep syringing him, and he will eventually eat.

Out of curiosity, why no vaporizer? Tommy has congestion and won't eat, so a vaporizer seems logical.
