Poor little guy is very congested still. I am so glad I started Clavamox when I did or he would be in very serious condition right now! He's definitely feeling a bit better today, despite his congestion. I heated up my newborn kitten disk and put it under his bed so he's nice and warm. He has his blankie to cover him, too. I did syringe feed him a bit this morning because he was acting like he was hungry, but because he's so congested, he wouldn't eat. I'll put a few syringes of food into him every few hours just to keep him strong.

He's pretty pitiful, but he's fighting it and is definitely not feeling as bad as he did yesterday. Maybe we can turn a corner today and the little fellow will feel much, much better tomorrow. I forgot how stressful it is to have a sick kitten! I could not sleep past 5 this morning because I was anxious to go check on him. Maybe I will get him out of his room later and we'll take a nap on the bed together.

Denise,

thank you for keeping such good care of little Tommy, without you, he would already no longer be here... I smiled when I read about the visit of the policeman, and I am sure that Tommy has a great chance to recover and become a strong boy. And he is not ugly at all, he is very special and sweet.

Birgit

Poor Tommy!!! I hope he continues to feel better and some gets back to kitten stuff!

And poor Denise!!! I totally understand the lack of sleep and the extra worry. Not fun! But as hubby keeps reminding me, the alternative is not a good option. Hang-in there! Tommy's going to thrive under your care.

I was going to ask if he's doing better, and then I noticed it's only been a few hours since your post..... we are sending healing prayers for your little guy

He's been sleeping most of the day, but he does have spells where he definitely seems to feel better than he did yesterday. He's all warm in his bed and I spent some time sitting on the floor in the bathroom reading while he was sleeping just to keep him company. He was on his back with his paws over his face. So cute, even when he's sick. He's due for his next round of meds in a few hours, so here's hoping that he will feel even better as he gets more in him. I'm syringing food into him 2 mls at a time. He's had 6 mls today, so I will wait and give him more tonight.
