Sorry for the late update but my pc was not working last night and my phone wouldn't allow me to post for some reason -- frustrating.

Nothing major to report. Maury had a normal temp, bladder was emtpy (a drop or so maybe), and all that was noticable was .4lbs of weight loss but this is probably from the vomiting. Maury was 11lbs and now is 10.6lbs. Sara took a urine sample from what tiny bit he had. The cool thing is that they now offer a test to run urine in house for like $30. Only if it cultures will they send it to the lab to determine what it cultures for....that of course is a $100 test. But can be huge savings if the urine is clear. So it has to run for 24-48 hours and Sara will call with the results.

Maury is on Clavamox just to be safe and also was given Dosequin (this is the same as Cosequin but a newer form that vets have gone to). Of course he is to be eating more wet than dry which isn't easy for him...he is stubborn. But Sara said to not take his dry away...he can have it but would like him to have more wet is all. He drinks lots of water...the nice thing about having a fountain as cats seem to drink more fluids this way.

But anywho -- now we wait.....

I hope everything comes back okay. It is so worrisome when they aren't feeling well.

I hope Maury's test comes out fine.

Thank you ladies! He acts fine...other than the dribbles in the litterbox. No more vomiting at least.

I have to tell you about what happened after Sara tapped his bladder. She brought him back to the room and put him on the floor...he likes to roam and be nosey. He sauntered over to me and headbutted my foot and then flopped over on his back, legs spread eagle, and meowed....I think he wanted to be sure I noticed his "booboo". His belly had been swabbed and then a needled inserted to get urine from his bladder...and there was a poked spot on his belly and he wanted to be sure I saw it I think. Bless his heart...I hate that he knows this routine so well that he doesn't even put up a fuss about having it done.

Everyone in the office was happy to see him. One of the techs had a particularly bad day and was teary eyed when she came into see Maury. She said she said she waited all day just to see him cause she knew he would make her feel better. How sweet is that!

glad the first reports are good and hoping for a good report on his urine, he say can't beat them I might as well join them.. lol that had to be so cute to see

Oh my goodness. THe flopping is the cutest thing ever. They had to do this to Puffy after she developed a hematoma following her spay. Poor guy. Give him lots of snugs, and we are praying for him

As for flopping over, while it is not good that he knows the routine, it is great that he will do it and not have to be man-handled to get the sample. Some vets are none too gentle when it comes to the procedure and then the cat has MAJOR issues with any type of belly rubs.
